Riverscape Software cares about your privacy and tries to employ a sound balance between information sharing and privacy by adhering to common sense practices and providing relevant privacy settings to its users.

Preface

This Privacy Policy applies to Riverscape Software and its Services as defined in the Terms of Service and assumes that you have already read, understood and agree to the Terms of Service (note that capitalized terms not defined herein are defined in the Terms of Service). Our Privacy Policy was designed to help you understand how we collect and use the personal information you choose to provide on the Service, the methods available to you for controlling your information, and to help you make informed decisions when using the Service.

This Policy applies solely to Riverscape Software and its Services. It does not apply to the practices of third parties (like Advertisers or other websites Riverscape Software may link to) that Riverscape Software does not own or control, or to individuals Riverscape Software does not employ or manage. Information Collection and Use

When you access and use the Services there are two types of information you provide to us: "Automatic Information" and "Personal Information." Automatic Information is what we receive from your computer, web browser or other electronic devices when you interact with the Service, and "Personal Information" is the information you knowingly choose to disclose and provide to us.

Riverscape Software and its authorized agents collect and may store (some or all of) in server logs and/or databases, the following Automatic Information to help us provide certain aspects of the Service, analyze trends and diagnose problems with the Service:

  1. the IP address your computer or other device is using to access our Service;
  2. the type/version of the web browser or other reader you are using;
  3. the type of operating system you are running;
  4. the screen resolution of your monitor;
  5. the address of the page you have requested from us;
  6. the address of the referring page, if any; and
  7. any Riverscape Software or other related cookie information.

When you register an account on our Services, you provide us with certain Registration Data which includes Personal Information as may be required by the particular registration process in question, such as but not limited to:

  1. your name;
  2. your email address.

We store and use this information to (a) provide you with an account and personal profile, (b) provide you with a personalized experience on the Service, (c) enable you to use other features on the Service, (d) learn about the different demographics that use our Service and (e) to administer your account and the Service.

If you are a subscriber, required registration data may also include your phone number and billing address. If you are a Teaming Partner user within a Subscriber's Portal, required registration data may also include your Company Name.

You may elect to share additional optional information, such as your Job Title, and you may remove that information if you no longer want to share it.

There are many features in the Services provided by Riverscape Software that allow you to share and disclose additional information and Content. We will collect, store and use such information and Content according to the purposes for which it was provided to us. We may also use limited information you provide to promote the Services (such as a Company Name/Logo) or facilitate B2B social networking and connection related features. In such cases, settings are available so you can opt in or out (e.g. the Networking setting in a Company Profile).

Riverscape Software may also compute, store and use statistical information about your activity on the Service to (a) enforce feature thresholds or maximums, (b) detect abnormal or high volumes of activity coming from a single user or group of users that may be SPAM related or attempts to flood our Service, (c) notify users that if they continue to take certain actions on the Service one or more of their privileges on the Service may be temporarily or permanently revoked, and (d) to analyze general feature usage information to help us determine what features are popular etc.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Riverscape Software does NOT rent or sell your personal information, and we only share your information when you give us permission to, or when sharing your information is necessary to provide the Service.

We may utilize other companies, contractors or authorized agents to perform tasks on our behalf or to help us provide the Service, in which case we may allow them to come in contact with the portions of your information as is necessary for them to perform their tasks. Such cases may include, but not necessarily be limited to: (a) web hosting companies that provide us with the necessary network infrastructure, web and database servers, email and management services; or (b) a company, contractor or authorized agent to help us troubleshoot, analyze, expand or increase the quality of our infrastructure, servers or data.

We may release personal information about you when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to (a) conform to legal requirements or to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other legal process received by Riverscape Software, whether or not a response is required by applicable law; (b) to enforce or apply our Terms of Service and other policies; or (c) to protect the rights, property, or safety of Riverscape Software, our employees, our users, or others.

We may share aggregated demographic and web site statistical information in general and make that information publicly available. For example, such information may include demographic percentages, the average browser and operating system our users use or the number of unique users and page hits over a specific span of time. This information, however, does not and will not identify individual users. Riverscape Software may publicly share other site or Service related statistics, but this information will never identify any individual users.

How to Control Your Information

With a few exceptions, your Registration Data and Other Profile Information can be controlled through the User Profile and Profile & Settings pages. In the case of InfoSquirrel™, you can manage your Registration Data, Optional Profile Information and various Settings (such as Notification Settings) as follows:

  1. Login to https://www.infosquirrel.com
  2. Click your My Profile icon (which may be your user photo) on the right side bar to manage your Profile Data.
  3. Click the My Account & Settings icon (a gear) on the right side bar to manage your Account & Settings information.
  4. Click the My Companies icon (a building) on the right side bar, then click Manage to manage your company profile, users, etc.

Additional Content you elect to share on the Services (e.g. - Documents, Proposals, Opportunities, Company Profile Information, etc.) can be managed (view, add, edit, delete) through that particular feature's management pages.

For example, and depending on your Account Type/Subscription Status, Users can be managed within a company’s business profile, Proposals within the secured Proposal Manager, etc.

Account Deletion

You can delete your User Account and its associated data at any time from My Account & Settings.

There are additional features associated with the Service, and we may add additional features in the future. Concerning any additional or new features, we will continue to remember your privacy by employing a sound balance between information sharing and user privacy.

Riverscape Software's Use of Cookies

When you request a web page, the response you get may contain an HTTP Set-Cookie Header which instructs your web browser to store a small piece of information on your computer and then send the information back on any subsequent requests.

To provide users with access to their account and Content we send them a Session ID cookie, a Cross Site Request Forgery (XSRF) cookie etc., which their web browser sends back to us whenever they make a new request. With the Session ID/XSRF, we are able to sufficiently identify the user and determine whether the request is valid.

Third Party Analytics and Cookies

Riverscape Software uses Google Analytics on the main InfoSquirrel™ Website. Google will attempt to send/store related cookie(s) as part of their Analytics service. You can learn more by visiting Google's cookies.

Third Party Links, Websites and Services

Riverscape Software may contain links to other websites and services. We have no control over these websites and services. This Privacy Policy applies solely to Riverscape Software, and not other websites and services. If you are using a third-party website and/or service and you allow them to access your personal data, you do so at your own risk. You agree that we are not responsible and do not have control over any third-parties that you authorize to access your personal data.

Communications from Riverscape Software

We only send our Users communications (email, text message, in-app notifications etc.) under the following circumstances:

  1. They recently registered an account and we're sending them a welcome communication with instructions on activating/accessing the account;
  2. they requested to reset their account password and we're sending them a communication with instructions on performing the operation;
  3. they sent us an inquiry or support request and we're responding to it;
  4. to deliver an administrative or service related announcement or communication;
  5. to deliver a service notification (e.g. Solicitation Invite) and their corresponding notification setting is set to On;
  6. to deliver our Newsletter and their corresponding notification setting is enabled.

Riverscape Software does NOT ask users to provide us with their account password under ANY circumstances. Never disclose your password unless you're signing in to the Service.

Other Important Information

Services provided by Riverscape Software are only offered to those within the United States who are at least eighteen (18) years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and will delete such information immediately upon learning such information may have been provided. By using our Services, you represent that you are at least eighteen (18) years old and understand that you must be at least eighteen (18) years old in order to create an account and/or subscribe to the Services through our Website.

General Security / Privacy Notice

Internet communications pass through many different networks before they reach their destination, and Riverscape Software has no control over what happens to those communications while they are traveling through those networks. Additionally, the security of our network, servers and this Service may not be perfect or impenetrable. For this reason, we cannot guarantee to you the security, confidentiality or privacy of any communication, information or Content whatsoever.

Changes to This Policy

Riverscape Software may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time, at its sole discretion. Use of information we collect now is subject to the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is used. If we make any changes to the Privacy Policy, we will notify you by posting an announcement on the Services so you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances if any, it is disclosed.
